South Florida Kannada School was established in the year 2021. The program’s key objective is to impart reading, writing, and spoken Kannada skills to learners. We are a non-profit organization teaching the Kannada language in South Florida. We follow the curriculum provided by Kannada Academy
Our classes are held online every Sunday between 4 PM to 5 PM. The teaching methodology is aligned with how a second language is learned by building vocabulary through words, word phrases, rules for sentences, poems – stories, reading – writing – all in parallel.
We teach students aged between 6 to 16. Students are grouped based on their Kannada language familiarity and knowledge. E.g., if a 12-year-old doesn’t understand a single Kannada word, they will be allowed to start learning basics from grade 1.
